  • There is no fee to list your event on the SFCW calendar, though we do provide an option for organizers to make a donation to help support the operational costs of hosting SF Climate Week

  • The SFCW calendar will open for event submissions in February 2025. Once it’s open, event organizers can list their events by following the instructions provided in the SFCW Calendar: Event Listing Guide. This comprehensive guide, also distributed in February, offers step-by-step details for submitting events to the official SFCW calendar.

    To receive the guide, be sure to complete our Event Organizer Interest Form. By signing up, you’ll also gain access to important updates, helpful resources, invitations to informational sessions, and more.

  • Your event will be included in the SFCW calendar, which will be shared through various channels, including the SFCW website, social media platforms, newsletters, and blogs.

    Additionally, Climatebase, the main organizer of SFCW, will actively promote the calendar across its extensive engagement channels, which include over 100K newsletter subscribers, along with 53K LinkedIn followers.

    We also ask that event organizers support SFCW by promoting your event and SFCW to your own audiences. A rising tide lifts all boats.

  • Basic criteria for inclusion on the SFCW calendar include: :

    • The event should predominantly focus on topics related to climate, environmentalism, or sustainability

    • The event must take place in-person or hybrid (no virtual only) within the San Francisco Bay Area (virtual-only events must have a sponsorship agreement)

    • The event must fall within the dates of April 19 - 27th, 2025

    • The event must adhere to principles of non-discrimination

    These requirements ensure that events showcased during SFCW align with its thematic focus and values.

  • Yes! We encourage any person or organization to host multiple events. There is no maximum number of events someone or organization can organize.

  • Once your event is listed on the SFCW calendar, you can make changes or updates directly through the Lu.ma platform/ website. Detailed instructions for managing your event will be provided as part of the event submission process.

  • We only allow for a few, pre-selected virtual events to be part of SF Climate Week, as we strive to make SF Climate Week an in-person event week. If you are interested in hosting a virtual only event, please email sponsors@sfclimateweek.org

  • We will close registration for events in the beginning of April. 

    To maximize time for promoting your event, we recommend filling out the Event Organizer Interest Form as soon as possible. By signing up, you’ll gain access to the SFCW Calendar: Event Listing Guide, important updates, helpful resources, invitations to informational sessions, and more.

  • Yes, we encourage event organizers to hold SF Climate Week events anywhere within the SF Bay Area region.

  • Yes, event organizers have discretion to determine how registration for their event will be handled and whether there will be a fee to attend. Our calendar platform Luma can support ticketing, custom registration questions, and registration pending approval.

  • SFCW is San Francisco's week-long decentralized conference, gathering thousands of people and organizations focused on accelerating climate solutions. The Bay Area is known for its leadership in innovation and environmental stewardship, with San Francisco at the epicenter.  SFCW represents an unprecedented opportunity to convene thousands of diverse organizations and individuals working at the intersection of climate action and innovation to cultivate community, exchange knowledge and insights, and accelerate climate solutions together.

  • SFCW is a week-long decentralized conference happening between April 19 and April 27th 2025. Most events will be in-person and happening around the San Francisco Bay Area region.

  • Nearly all SF Climate Week events will be in-person in the San Francisco Bay Area region. With that being said, there will be some hybrid and a few virtual only events.

  • SFCW organizes events into categories called tracks, designed to help event organizers, speakers, and attendees identify areas of shared interest. Many events may overlap and fit into multiple categories. The track categories are:

  • Participating in SF Climate Week is free. However, some events throughout the week may require paid tickets.

  • The SFCW Calendar will open for attendees in February 2025! Be sure to subscribe to our newsletter so you’ll be among the first to know when the calendar goes live. We encourage you to sign up for events as soon as they are announced, as spots often fill up quickly.
